Food Review: Punjabi Rasoi

Chicken Lal Pari

This tiny restaurant near Natural Ice Cream in Juhu serves really tasty Punjabi dishes. Just go for any non-vegetarian gravy with naans/parathas/rotis because the biryanis and vegetarian food are not that good. Still have to try the fish and prawns here, but the chicken and mutton dishes are excellent and the portions are large. Punjabi Rasoi has only five tables, doesn’t serve alcohol and is open till midnight.

    Great theme. I like.
    Plus you added a tagline.
‘The Times Of Aditya Mehta’. Wicked. 😀

Had paneer butter masala (Makhanwala) which is normally in red color but then it was in green color
and also had paneer lal pari which was in red gravy and i asked him to add some mushrooms in it.
This was by far the best veg food i ever had in long time.
RK (Radha Krishnan), Papillon and other restaurants are crap.
This was typical punjabi food. RK, Pappilon and other south Indian restaurants donno the funda of making punjabi food. Punjabi Rasoi is a hard core non veg eatery and i was lil skeptical to order veg food from there, but then i was impressed the way it looked and tasted. Also the gravies are very reasonable and fits into ur budget. In other restaurants such gravies would cost more then 140 bucks approximately and it would have that madrasi tinge to it and would taste awful. I called for 2 dishes for 210/- and that too it was more than sufficient for 3 people.

    Punjabi Rasoi – 4/5
