Coming at you bang in the middle of the year so you can spend the rest of 2011 drinking these brews!
Doolally’s German Wheat Beer
Schneider Weisse (Tap 7)
Tooheys Old Black Ale
Fuller’s London Pride
Murphy’s Irish Stout
Awesome. I’ve bookmarked this, its a nice list for the year.
Where do you get the Saison, Chimay & Tooheys? I can think of Mocha Mojo in Bandra but they’ll be really expensive there!
Try any Living Liquidz outlet. Or if you’re in Juhu, the lane opposite Costa Coffee has a wine shop that sells this stuff… shouldn’t be hard to find… it’s opposite Frangipani. Or you could go to any Juben Wines outlet, but they’re not helpful. Go to Living Liquidz and you’ll get to look around and pick stuff.
Oh thank goodness for your blog. I spent a good part of the past year quietly going crazy over the lack of good beer in Mumbai. Now I see there is hope after all.
Which Living Liquidz store did you go to? Their store locator identifies “Lucky Wines” in Sion as the one closest to my place, which is just a regular “wine” shop and has nothing other than the piss poor beers you get at such places. In fact most of the places listed on their website are wine shops of some sort or the other, and I don’t want to drive all the way to get disappointed.
Hey man, it’s great to know people care about drinking good beer.
I go to “Fition Wines”, which is near Juhu Circle, on the way to Four/Seven Bungalows.
I also go to the big Living Liquidz showroom at Star Bazaar in Lokhandwala.
Here are two phone numbers of Fition Wines, so you can call them and see what they have in stock:
26243756 and 26247907
Ask for Anthony.
