Aditya, I have been following your work in the underground metal scene since you were in Demonic Resurrection. Then you gave India its first real death metal band Exhumation. After that, you started this blog which stands tall above every other Indian rock/metal website because of the nature of the content and your writing style. Yesterday you changed the game again with Solar Deity. Honestly, I never imagined Raw Black Metal could sound this classy. ‘In The Name Of Satan’ is an instant classic that you have churned out, and the songs are outstanding.

First thing first . I would like to congratulate Aditya & Yash for the hard work put on this album. Mehta had been mentioning about this project for a long time & wow this has been fantastic.

Nice intro & to the E.P before “Declaration” With the first riff you are sure some good fucking metal is coming to hit ya. Drums are neat. Mehta, famous for his death metal style is going to surprise a lot of ppl with his work. Pulling off black metal style vocals is not easy. Adding doing vocal duties & guitars makes it tough too. The song gets heavier & heavier. Has nice rhythm & neat drums. Aggressive, loud & ends perfectly. Metal heads who like to scream & growl along with the song will love it. My rating for the Song: 4/5

Blasphemous opens up with an assault on drum kit & carnage continuous. Pure fucking metal. You just can’t stop head banging to it. 3.5/5

Ceremonial in undoubtly the best song of the EP. Fast riffs, Relentless beats, catchy parts makes you want to burn. Long vocal-less ending with fading guitars leaves with a hunger for more. 5/5

Best way to enjoy the album is to put it on loop & forget.

Considering that the band is 2/3 of the famous Exhumation line up, the sound remains quite different. To me this is quite remarkable. I’m sure that the full length album won’t disappoint metal lovers. Great work & a thousand \m/ to Mehta & Yash for a breakthrough album. Solar Deity is Here Best black metal from India. Hail

Best Indian extreme metal record. This, along with Gruesome Malady – Infected.., Gorified – Ruptured Within Seconds, and the old Exhumation stuff (albeit disparate genres) are the only Indian underground records I wouldn’t cringe recommending to people in the know. To the idiot on the Rolling Stones post who likened this to Norsecore…fuck off. Inquisition, Immortal, latter day Burzum’s melodic sense at high-speeds, yes. But you really can’t tell your mouth from your asshole if you don’t get the passion and sincerity behind this thing, cheesy lyrics and all.
