1st June; 7:00 pm; dry day notwithstanding, I get to Blue Frog with 300 bucks worth of booze in my belly because this is exactly the kind of thing that you need to be drunk for. I haven’t attended a metal gig since Nh7 Weekender, because anymore, I do not like attending metal gigs. Or bumping into annoying old friends whose tastes never grew beyond the filthy ranks of Dimmu Borgir and Children of Bodom. The show doesn’t begin for another hour at least, but already I see swarms of black tee-shirts running around the place as if it were fucking Disneyland. There are plenty of new faces I cannot recognize, jabbering about how awesome Zygnema is, wondering what the fuck this Pangea is all about and smoking shitty ass fucking weed. Metalheads can be an annoying bunch. Worse, the line up today is terrible; Abraxas make horrible music, I don’t get the hype behind Eccentric Pendulum and Providence should go back to covering Hatebreed. Welcome to Rolling Stone Metal Awards, 2012, where Rohit Pereira will give you a Diesel watch if you scream ROLLLIIIIINNGGG STOOOOONNEEE very loudly into his mic.

What a crock of shit.

I’ve been attending this painful celebration of Indian metal mediocrity for three years running. I’m not proud of it, I have my excuses. The first time, I was still a dumb virgin who wanted to show off his awesome new beard to everyone. That was actually a fun gig, courtesy Scribe. The second time, my internship with Hindustan Times had me covering it. And I yielded again, yesterday, because Mehta said “I will sponsor your booze if you review it for MKK.” All editors should be like him.

This is not one of those This-award-went-to-this-band features. I don’t remember who picked up which award. I do not care. I don’t know if I’m getting old and stubborn, or if the scene is in a fucking mess. The good bands; Scribe, Bhayanak Maut, Exhumation, they’re hardly gigging. And the bands who shouldn’t be allowed to gig are playing every other weekend. There’s not much that can be said about the quality of Indian metal, especially if Rolling Stone Metal Awards is anything to go by. Providence were noisy, Abraxas were noisier (cut down on those long-ass guitar solos, boys), Eccentric Pendulum – short of one guitarist – also fell short of being impressive, even if they were a slight step up from the rest. Zygnema are just… Zygnema. Fuck the poor quality of Indian metal, there’s worse things to be said about the average Indian metalhead’s taste in music, what with this band still being allowed to play.

I’m going to break it to ya’ll very simply: We do not have enough decent metal bands in this country to warrant an entire award ceremony dedicated to the scene.  Rolling Stone claims they’re supporting Indian metal. I think there’s a lot of money being blown up so sponsors can try selling me shit that I don’t need. RSMA may have been exciting the first time, but now it’s a self-indulgent marketing gimmick I no longer care for.

India is too early any award shows like these…I mean come on how many indigenous have music that you want to listen over n over again like our favorite bands. Barring a few ones, no band comes to originality, tight onstage presence leaving you with a wow. Posers are fucking up everything. Above all Rolling stones India is not like it’s international version nuff sa(i)d

hahhaha lol nice post…indian bands, apart from metal family, needs new genres. i am sick and tired of reading lyrics from a metal band, which basically are the lyrics to every other metal band. also most metal bands use , pretty much the same font for their name. the next metal band i will hear is a metal band that calls themselves “Tickle” and they have to have a different font. its time metal bands started writing more realistic stuff then just some nonsense about their blood lust and what not

I think Bhayanak Maut is epic only in the studio. Some how they always fuck up on-stage. Like the tightness is nowhere close to their tightness in the studio

The problem with this review is the shortsightedness of the writer. HE/SHE/IT clearly does not know metal or music beyond the boundaries of Mumbai, least to say if he even acknowledges the rest of the country. Why send such biased people for covering a gig like this, i fail to understand? He wrote off the gig even before it happened. Kudos, for shitty bands, shitty music and more SHITTY reviews like this.

    Good Review.
Providence should really consider making some good Music. Their compositions are RANDOM, they sound pretty dirty.
Pangea, on the Other hand wa the best band of the evening! The last song was soo amusing, i was constantly trying to count the song… starts with a 17/4.. 16/4.. chorus 18/4! Jai row was fucking owning it!

India needs some REAL metal boss.

Oh, I just realized that after reading beyond the first paragraph. Which also means I no longer agree with the review since it calls Bhayanak Maut and Scribe “good bands”. Yuck!

        • July 4, 2012 at 02:33

The lyrics you write for Acerbus don’t come across as very inspired. I wonder how seriously people would take you if they read them.

              Dear Rohit,
Prashant Shah of both Exhumation and Scribe wont appreciate u writing crap bout them. He will drill ur ass all the even more coz he loves BM too. He is a guitarist of two huge bands and wont tolerate ur bullshit…

              • 41 Rohit
                July 4, 2012 at 17:35

In other words, not only does he play in two shitty bands, but also has a crappy music taste, and is likely to get offended by his own shortcomings. Real mature people you’ve got in your band, Aditya.

                • July 4, 2012 at 18:18

Ahhh the vocals and riffs are the best thing about Exhumation man, if you do not like their work in Among the Dead which imo is a perfect work of death metal, then i dont understand what you look in a band.

I agree you have a great taste for old school styles of death metal such as Necrovore, Funebrarum, Incantation, Morbid Angel , malevolent creation , bolt thrower, Grave(Swe), Unleashed (Swe), Interment (Swe) Corpse (Swe) , Obscurity(Swe) etc and i truly admire it, but these guys have taken a good effort in creating good metal so they definitely deserves respect.

                    July 4, 2012 at 18:39

I don’t hear anything more than mediocre, generic Death Metal that takes cues from the least interesting bands ever. And vocals? Are you kidding me? This dude, couldn’t even growl to save his life at Meat Feast last year, and then proceeded to get pissed off at the crowd about it.

                    • July 4, 2012 at 19:47

Well I was there for Meat Feast and i found their performance pretty decent enough and plus i guess you cannot base your judgement on only one live concert, they had given some of the best performances during early resurrection feast. Well its your opinion brother but as for me Among the dead surely doesnt consist of generic death metal styles of song writing and Racial Slaughter is a pretty badass track…

Btw only true metal bands in the scene so far are Demonic Resurrection and Reptillian Death. Demonstealer Rulz. We all love him, Rohit i guess you do too!!! \m/

                    • July 4, 2012 at 20:01

Well no offense but DR and Repitllian whatever sucks and moreover DR sounds like a dimmu burger rip off….

                    • July 5, 2012 at 02:52

I don’t get pissed off at the crowd. Ever heard of feigning anger or annoyance in jest? Yeah, that. The only time I lost my temper onstage was years ago when somebody threw a bottle at Prashant.

                    • July 5, 2012 at 04:49

You’re talking about a crowd that goes “bhenchod, madarchod” when the band onstage doesn’t play heavy stuff (Back in the days, the crowd wanted only Metallica covers.) or takes time to set up. The Mumbai/Bombay crowd has always been a rowdy, confrontational bunch who wouldn’t take shit from James Hetfield or George ‘Corpsegrinder’ Fisher or Amitabh Bachchan. The extreme metal fans from that crowd were at B69 that night, and I am a part of that crowd. I stand with the people as one of the people when other bands are onstage, so when I say something like ‘Kyun bey, bhosado’ during a performance, it’s not called getting “pissed off”. It’s not even an “inside joke”, just playful banter. Do one thing; take some time off and go watch “Gangs of Wasseypur”. Bombay is nothing like Bihar, but certain kinds of humour can be found everywhere. There’s a scene in which Manoj Bajpayee strikes up a conversation with a wrestler he is about to kill, and the unsuspecting man laughingly tells him to fuck off. See how it’s done. Go for it even if you don’t watch films, because the movie is bloody good.

  26. July 3, 2012 at 13:12

Bc itna chota sa toh scene aur usko bhi criticize karlo. The main reason between Bands here and Bands outside is that they get more exposure and they are playing shows through out the week.Everytime you step up on stage you do learn something thing new and thats how you become tighter and overcome the mistakes that you did on your previous set.You interact with all sorts of people , you learn stuff and this helps in writing better material. Here the Best Bands Gets a gig in a month ! Still I feel some bands in india have material thats way better than bands that are touring countries and coming to indian bands are not good and their material sucks ! do you know how hard it is to actually be doing this …you wont earn playing in a band ! you have to take out time from your studies/work and take up an instrument and practice …spending hours jamming ..keeping the band together. If i wouldnt have to worry about money and life hell i would be putting hours into practicing and jamming and yes then the quality of material would no doubt improve but i dont think thats realistic here .

At lest We have an Award Show thats a little mainstream that supports metal in our country ! Respect That man…at lest we have something !

Well thats your opinion and stuff but if i was a member of any of the bands playing i would have really felt bad and disappointed while reading this .Hell, anyone might wont Mehta feel bad if someone just bashes Exhumation without knowing how much effort these guys put in.

Right reviews , criticize but dont try to bash just for the heck of it.Its like trying be India Tv putting in all the masala just to get the blog some hits.

Event review: Trolling metal awards 2012

  30. 59 Anupam
    July 3, 2012 at 16:29

I was contemplating whether to attend the awards or not, but decided on the latter after taking a look at the line-up and also remembering how really fucked up nonsensical show-offs attended the gig last time round. I will be very frank: IMO The Bombay metal scene sucks balls, as do all these smart-ass ‘metal-heads’ who should probably utilise their time listening to good music rather than moshing around like nitwits in these shit-ass gigs by mediocre bands. Year after year these bands churn out the same mediocre music with very little sign of improvement. Seriously, I understand that there is obviously not as much exposure to metal here in India as there is in the west and there are many practical problems as well, but this ceases to be a justification when you actually get to see some of the really talented guys out there play *real* world-class metal, I mean Vishal J. Singh et al. People like him don’t give shit about having a thousand photographs posted on their facebook page. They just sit back and make good music, and that is what every talented metal musician in India should to at the moment. Show-baazi ka time will come automatically after that. So till the time folks realise this sad fact, I would, instead of attending desi metal gigs, rather sit back in my room and listen to some more of Spawn of Possession.

P.S.: I can’t really see how you can have problems with long-ass solos dude, as long as they are good.

  50. 88 mongoose boy
    July 5, 2012 at 02:13

Read this carefully cause well im just fucking smarter than everyone else. When Cannibal Corpse made hammer smashed face, they did well because they took music to new levels of heaviness previously unheard of. Like when i first heard pantera’s vulgar display of power and had to ask “is this death metal?”…but i was 16. young and impressionable.

Aditya Mehta knows who i am. and i say this – i have great respect for you as a person and as a writer. you’re the most clever and fearless indian writer ive read. i would take a bullet for you…serious. But Exhumations music? not really right up there at all. The only 2 heavy bands i’ve liked listening to in India are BM and Zygnema. I want to take my bands name here and say we’re pretty good. But we’re not. We suck. Though our lyrics are awesome because i write them. well me and my buddy aqua. So anyway – in 2010/11/12 – “slit your gut. putrid insides. devour filth. ghaaa ghheeee ghaaa. ghoooo ghheeee gjheee” or whatever it is that you, and other bands like you scream into the microphone – its stale like 6 day old jalebee. There is no musical depth, no clever juxtapositions in the lyrics….no interesting riff patterns …..the same fucking double bass….more like track and field workouts. I dont get it.

because i get Tool. I get Spastic Ink. I get Incubus. I get Megadeth. I get Tub-Ring. Radiohead. Blur. The mahavishnu orchestra. When i hear them, i am amazed. Not because of the brand – but because of the music. the lyrics – the package.

Listen to 3 albums – Megadeth RIP, Metallica MoP and Tool Lateralus. look at your face in the mirror and ask yourself if you have what it takes to come up with 45 minutes of music that can be compared to that stuff? And im not asking this to you alone. Im asking aloud. Any heavy music making band listening – answer that.

dont be fooled by people trying to sell you shit. “support the scene”. you’re not san frisco in the early 80″s. you’re not. you’re poor lost imitators who just dont have what it takes. You did not have it 15 years ago (bless naked earth and sceptre”s soul) …and you dont have it now. you probably never will.

the day Indian metal takes pride in people LISTENING to them, is the day things will improve. Right now its about growling into a microphone and asking 17 year olds to go apeshit. well, then you’re really no better than a circus ring-master right? become a musician, not a fucking circus act. because thats what i suspect the rolling stone metal awards are. a circus act.

name one kid you saw at any show, actually singing along to “indian metal”? if they come there, not for the music but this physical release, this “moshing” or whatever the fuck else, then you (and by you i mean the leaders of the indian metal scene) are no better than circus clowns trying to control a pack of monkeys.

take it from me and this is the real truth right here – 99% of you want to become the shah rukh khan of indian metal. Not Metallica. Not Megadeth. But the SRK. You want to be “different” but yet dream of mainstream success. Dream of that podium seat right next to Vishal Dudlani where he speaks of you as an equal. Hum customer hai Indian metal ke. Sunte hai kaafi sara. Hagga marke aaye to dekhe yaha log bawal macha rahe hai. Sach kahu to bohot vapid aur uninspired bajate hai laundey log. Mongoose boy ne accha summarize kiya hai, especially the fact that most bands target their specific audience, mostly doped/drunk teenagers with very limited exposure to music. Amogh Symphony live nahi bajata. Rat King live nahi bajata. Bands should focus more on recording original music instead of making mosh-happy repetitive crap. Jab pata hai Cryptopsy aise bajata hai, ya Metallica waise bajata hai, why the fuck do you retards try to blindly imitate their style instead of trying to find your own? Sick of listening to you talentless fucks as to why your CDs don’t sell. Sorry to disappoint you, but you are not Bhimsen Joshi. You are not Beethoven, Bach or Coltrane, because most of you are brvtal metchul musicians with no concept of how intelligent music is to be synthesized. Guitar aur distort pedal liye aur chale bhaiya metal bajane. Pehle 4-5 saal tak theek hota hai, but bhenchod tum log kabhi dimaagi taur se bade hi nahi hote!

Tum saale Mumbai mein DR, Zygnema, Scribe, Bhayanak Maut ka lauda chooste ho. Bangalore mein log Kryptos, Eccentric Pendulum, Albatross ityadi ka lauda chooste hai. Wahi North/NorthEast mein jaao to log Dark Helm, Silver Vagina ityadi bands ki upma dete hai. Oral Sex Workers ki community hai India ka metal scene. Review bhi likhte ho to sochte ho, ye mera dost hai, ye band to apna dost hai. Jab tak ye muh me lena band nahi hoga, India mein na to accha metal ban payega na hi jazz(deplorable lack of good jazz collectives who record their stuff, though unexplored talent might be aplenty).

P.S – As far as reviews go, this was rather disappointing. Just enjoyed it for the teen angst at lack of good music.

P.P.S – Reviewer mera dost hai.

P.P.P.S – Mai Sahil Makhija nahi hu,

P.P.Pissss – Chutyape band kar Desai, kuch accha likhke de ab. 😛

So glad I’m out of Bombay. Not that Bangalore, so-called godhead of Indian heavy metal, doesn’t have its fair share of cocksucking sycophants and facebook whores parading as rock stars. The Indian psyche is not cut for heavy music, and certainly not extreme metal.

    • July 9, 2012 at 04:53

Suited me? Because, as far as memory permits, I asked certain people to fuck off. Want to know who and why? Those who know me, and even those who dislike me, know very well how much cock I’ve gobbled, as intellectually dishonest or devoid of integrity as they may be.

Now why don’t you tell me your name and I can tell you exactly how far along your lips are down the shaft of your idli vada heroes?

        • July 9, 2012 at 15:36

You asked certain people to fuck off?
Me thinks it was the other way around hero. Yes I want to know who and why? Lets hear it.
When it comes to your crappy Undergrind gig you love to open wide and take a big load of cum down your throat just to sell a few tickets hah

    • July 9, 2012 at 11:39

It’s funny how far away from Mumbai you are and still manage to fellate Mehta. Is his cock that long or do your puckered lips extend that far? Hypothetical question BTW…don’t answer. So much for calling others cocksucking sycophants……
Calling others Facebook whores is stupid. Your own Undergrind’s Shaun LaCanne is one of the biggest FB whores everybody’s seen. And your friends from your little dumbfuck crew are all FB whores too. No point in you being a tough guy on your friend’s little forum and calling others whores because your conveniently off facebook…you’re just another hypocrite living in a bubble.

      • July 9, 2012 at 12:36

Nah. In fact, he’s the one of the few who mince no words when they think I’m doing something wrong. He has also told me more than once to not go crazy sharing links on Facebook. I send Devdutt scratch tracks for his opinions and also because I worry too much that the music might be sounding like something else. He doesn’t go apeshit over things I do or the music I make. ‘The drums are too loud’, ‘The vocals sound alright’, ‘The riffs sound authentic enough’, is all he usually says. He also told me that the lyrics to Snowless were emo as hell but to go ahead if that’s what I really wanted to sing. Which is why it’s a big deal for me if he leaves a comment saying he likes the EP. Because I know he doesn’t say things unless he really means them. He still hasn’t said anything about Snowless except that it’s catchy. Coming from him, ‘catchy’ probably isn’t a compliment. I wanted him to write a review of the EP but he didn’t; all he did was leave a comment on this blog. The last time I sent him a guitar track, he wrote back telling me everything he didn’t like about it and now I’ll be sending him the whole thing (with the drums and the second guitar track) so that he can have a better idea of what I want to make. The guy has no vested interests, unless wanting more quality metal in the world can be counted as a vested interest. If you have the time, I’ll share a couple of links from this little blog where he’s disagreed with my views in his usual blunt style.

        • July 9, 2012 at 13:29

So in short…your friend is a man of few words, a bully, and someone that is used to telling bands what to do. He’s someone who turns against people around him simply because he doesn’t agree with their music. And the music doesn’t even have to be trendy stuff…and if those bands have a big following that’s more reason for him to hate them. No offense to you but i’m not a big fan of exhumation or your new band. Theyre okay but I dont consider that music to be something world class. Your friend begs to differ of course. Should that make me hate him and hate everything he does because i think his taste isnt good enough? No because that sounds stupid. prashant from exhumation plays for scribe and that’s a -core band that plays trendy shit…but your friend still thinks the world of him. if someone from bangalore did something similar he would spew more hatred on them. so yes, he’s hypocritical. and he surrounds himself here with ‘yes men’ who listen to every word he says. they might be good bands or musicians themselves but it seems like they want to hang on to every word he says. and theres no problem with all that but if someone chooses to be all cult and brutal the last thing they should be is hypocritical. unfortunately not the case. and dont get me wrong…im not against him and as far as i know nobody in bangalore has anything against him or his circle. in fact i dont play for a band…never have…but i have been a bystander for many many years and i can see whats happening when factions get created for silly reasons. im not defending anybody because i dont belong to any clique here myself and everybody is just an acquaintace for me. but its hard to ignore whats happening. hope you understand.

          • July 9, 2012 at 13:47

No, man. He tells me things he can tell me as a friend. I don’t think he thinks the world of Prashant or loves Scribe. I don’t think he’d surround himself with yes men; he likes healthy debates as much as the rest of us. And he’s not a man of few words… haha! He types out novels on Gmail chats. What I meant was that he doesn’t say things that are unnecessary. I’d write more but I have some stuff to finish. I’ll come back and explain more in a few minutes if you want me to.

            • July 9, 2012 at 14:07

thats okay man…no explanations necessary really. i only said things as i saw them. a lot of the times people here tend to think the general audience doesnt know whats going on with the scene politics. unfortunately we do…its ugly, nobody likes it and almost everybody know exactly whats going on…all thanks to social networking…im not sure what you hear but i know im right with that i said. i dont want to prolong this anymore.
on that note…good luck to you and your bands…i want to see your new band live before i can judge for myself whether i really like it or not. and good luck to your friend with whatever he chooses to do. i was out of the country for undergrind this year so i cannot tell whether his event was a success or not…

              • July 9, 2012 at 14:40

                Thanks for the wishes.

One more thing: Devdutt doesn’t think of Solar Deity as a world-class band either, so you guys are together on that one. He named us as one of the few Indian metal bands that don’t make him cringe.

If Devdutt or I had a role in scene politics, the scene would be very different. Solar Deity would have also played a few shows here and there had that been the case. 🙂

                Thanks again!

What in fucking blazes are you talking about? (A) There have been but two people in this city that I’ve been outright rude and disrespectful of, (B) I haven’t met or talked with Prashant in over ten years and I doubt if he even remembers me. I don’t like Scribe but I’ve always said he was one of the better riff writers in this country as CC-influenced death metal goes, and (C) Old Exhumation had a palpable energy to them that could not be missed. Yeah, they fucked up on stage more often than not, but it was always fun. IIIrd Sovereign and Agnostic are the only other bands I’ve got the same vibe from. While performing LIVE. Not so hot on record. Do you understand?

You say you’re an acquaintance, you say you’re not against me so I presume I’ve never had a problem with you either. Yet you’re here under a fake moniker, speaking on behalf of fuck knows who. And in all probability you’ll run into me in person somewhere, discuss the weather, but won’t have the decency to take me aside and speak your mind. What kind of human being are you?

I don’t claim to speak for Undergrind so don’t drag them in here. And there is no “circle” (unless you count the woods in Hormavu where we get drunk and cut ourselves for the devil). I was among fifteen guys who pulled off that gig. That’s it. What I say about the “scene” is my personal opinion; I don’t need a collective crutch to lean on, and I know for a fact that many of them don’t endorse my views.

                  (A) I thought underground extreme metal has no place for rock star bullshit like MEET-AND-GREET done with the sole view of recovering the money you’ve put in. I’m no fool to turn my back on money but I said we could look into alternate avenues. I believe your friend from Mangalore agreed with me too.

                  (B) I thought it was UNETHICAL to have a band down that didn’t have a single song out (Nafarmaan), only on the knowledge that their drummer had played for a Canadian band.

                  (C) I thought a cover band like Pillbox 666 didn’t deserve to play a gig that had international aspirations.

                  (D) I still insisted on putting every contentious opinion to a vote since there was a group of six involved. Was it me who threatened to take his toys and walk home? Who was giving me bullshit, primadonna attitude like “At this stage, Pillbox is the only band capable of drawing in a 100 people” ?

And then I walked out. Now which of the above do you want to dispute?

I couldn’t care less about what you do with your show now, but back then I was putting in money like everyone else, and had every fucking right to express my opinion. And I expressed it very, very politely.

                  • July 10, 2012 at 07:53

Devdutt, Sad to say that I’m not involved in the shitfest that you are bringing me into…And I’ve told you things right in your FACE (Which you didn’t like very much…even though it was good advice :). And I really don’t have to hide under some moniker like “VOCAB” and bitch online like you do. But since you are involving my fest in this and bringing up discussions out in the open, I have to speak up.

                    1) The Meet and Greet Idea was discussed when you Chose to be absent or this would have been sorted out that day itself. You didn’t even hear the part where we said it was going to be a full metal party with booze, music and the band just hanging out. And we discussed it with some fans who said they would love to come! And whether my Mangalore friend agreed or not, it is no# of votes that counted! 3 against 2!
                    2) For a small fest do you expect to have AUTOPSY come by themselves and play? Fuck do you think it was Wacken or something where bands were dying to play? I used all my personal contacts to get the bands to come and now that you have helped organise a gig, you probably understand that it’s not easy to have your pick of bands. Also I vaguely recall you hearing Nafarmaan and saying “sandesh, you got something here…very very intense band. cheers :)”
                    3) The Pillbox matter was a matter of votes again! 4 anainst 1
                    4) You’ve made similar statements and you display the same “primadonna” attitude. Ask your fest organiser pals about it. Too bad your pals are too docile to tell that on your face, but they sure do bitch about you to the whole world behind your back. 🙂

Anyway, like I said somewhere, you’re just the agent with contacts who gets bands down. Everybody knows who makes the real decisions at TSF. You can call it “my show” all you want, par tu hamesha chaprasi hi rahega. Chal ab hawaa aane de, chutiye.

yes. i agree. i hate people who disrespect my metal brothers. consider this – my next door neighbour is Megadeth. My brother who lives in my house with me is Sahil Makhija. who should i love more? sahil. if i tell sahil “bhen ke laude. tera music music nahin, chutiyapa hai. tu ek jhaat ka baal hai. teri ghaaand mein lund. baaju mein mustaine to dekh. usko music boltey hain> TU LUND HAI” – Then thats just wrong. i should support my brother. yeah. so next time DR releases an album at around the same time Tool does, ill “invest” in my “metal brother”, no matter how shit the music is. I promise you this Kedar – i will not throw mud on my metal brother. In fact on my payslip i get every month from my office, there is a “help poor talentless metal brothers deduction”. and im ok with that.

im thinking of starting a NGO that collects money from everyone to help our “metal musicians” break even.

Maybe we can have the incredible Imran Khan start a cancer hospital for our metal brothers where they can get free treatment.

      the possibilities are limitless. nai?

Oho, Trendcrusher has written a gig review of Rolling Stone Metal Awards India 2012. The guy can’t write and doesn’t have any taste is music and should change his name to Trendfollower.

What a waste review dude. Doesn’t give a fucking clue about what was the gig like. Full of personal, closed minded nonsense. You better write Beer reviews only, man.

Metal Assault’s reviews, MetalVani, few guest writers on Headbangers – all those are good reads, take a clue from those. What you have written is not in a reporting manner. Just barfed up some gibberish.

FB pe toh sab laude Sahil Makhija/Riju Dasgupta ki gaand chaatte hai. Idhar identity nahi malum pad rahi toh dono ki gaand maar rahe hai. Hahaha!. Dekh be Sahil Lavdu, Teri aukaat dekh. Tu jhaat bhi nahi hai. Koi tujhe pasand nahi karta! Ijda saala.

Hahaha… Sahil Makhija is an entrepreneur, genes mey hai bhai. Arguably, the most successful musician from the Indian extreme music fraternity. Music ko business ki tarah spread kiya re woh banda, toh itna bhi laudu nahi hai.

      Credit dena bantaa hai boss.

Not many good metal bands in India eh? Do look up Mortar, Dead Veneration, Armament etc. They are real stuff, not the pseudo-metal mentioned here.

The problem with the reviewer is that he/she is dickless. Must have lost it with his virginity or maybe he was born without one.
