Sacred Dal Lake

So, here’s a putrid lake which is supposed to be this hot spot everyone flocks to. It must’ve been clean and maybe something else at some point, but Sacred Dal Lake in Dharamshala is a dirty pool only right for puking in. The water is green like snot, but it should be admired and photographed because you’re out sightseeing. And they have this annual fair out here, after which all the morons dive into this vile water body. Taking a holy dip, they call it.

Is Dharamshala worth the trip? I mean I am going to Vaishno Devi, so will Dharamshala be a good visit or should I look at Shimla or Manali or Dalhousie or can u suggest some place around Vaishno Devi?

Dharamshala is a great place, and even Manali and Dalhousie should be awesome, but it depends on what’s nearest to you. Shimla, from what I’ve heard is too fucked now. I’ve no idea of places around Vaishnodevi, man.

Vaishno Devi is nowhere close to Dharamsala or Dulhousie or Solan. The former is in J&K, while the rest of the plces you mention are in HP. They may look close on the map, but it isn’t so.
