Bal Thackeray: Critical, Stable or Dead?

Dead as a doornail, I say.

A highly amusing game is being played here in Mumbai; and it involves the media, ‘the’ political party and the common man.

Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray is in “critical condition” according to the mainstream media, while his son Uddhav Thackeray says Balasaheb’s health is “stable”, and that they are “hopeful”.

The general public, however – and I’m talking about those on close terms with Shiv Sainiks – have a very different story to tell. According to what the common man is hearing from insiders, Bal Thackeray has been dead for days now, and it is because of the current festive season that the news of the Shiv Sena leader’s death is being kept an open secret.

Since nobody is ever going to believe that the Shiv Sena consider the feelings of the aam janta or are considerate at all, I’m going to say that – if Thackeray Sr. is really dead, the only reason he hasn’t been declared so is because nobody apart from the Shiv Sainiks and other Maharashtrians, who would feel orphaned by their beloved leader’s demise, would mourn this politician’s death.

The city has enjoyed a stretch of holiday which ends today, and the buzz is that the Shiv Sena will stage the announcement tonight of Bal Thackeray’s death. This way, Shiv Sainiks will have their normal day (tomorrow!): will ensure all shops have their shutter down, no public transport, and that the city comes to a halt or its very own death. Mumbai/Maharashtra bandh for a day or two, which to me, only means that I don’t have to work.

Even as those who personally know the Thackeray clan claim that they’ve heard from their young friend (the politico’s grandson) that the old man is doing just fine, it holds no conviction.

Having nothing to lose and only holidays to gain, I, like this megapolis, will sit back for a bit, have a cup of tea and be ‘surprised’ while the big news unfolds.

Senior Thackeray and Narendra Modi are the only leaders who have the guts to oppose Muslim terror. Sadly one of the Lion is critical…… sad day…… Hey Bhagwaan Abu Azmi aur Kasab ka number kab lagega?

Shame on our mainstream media. They are so scared to tell the truth. How can we trust the media now?? They can manipulate and make any story.

    @ Sayak Boral.
I beg to differ with you. Bombay didn’t lose its international face after being renamed as Mumbai. It lost its international appeal when scores of Biharis, UP Bhaiyas, Kadiyas of Rajasthan and Thugs of Delhi started relocating here. The Bangladeshis also set arrived in thousands and started living in slum pockets of Bandra East, Mankhurd, BKC, Dharavi etc. With the Congress playing vote bank politics these illegal migrants were here to stay. With all these pigs coming into Bombay, the city became a literal dhobighat and open air toilet.
I have seen Bombay for the last 30 years. It was a place where Gujjus. Marathis, Tamilians, East Indians, etc lived in harmony. The roads were clean, footpaths were unoccupied, pollution was non-existent, traffic was discipline and crime was in control. Even the dons of yesteryears operated with certain ethics. Everything changed in the last 15 years with the North Indians calling Bombay their home.

Haha..tamma amma talking…bitch, balu was kicking your sorry tammi ass in the sixties. So there was no harmony earlier too. And his little sonny boys will gladly do the same again given a chance. And oh, by the way, Dharavi, the biggest open air toilet is an all southy affair if my geo and demography is right…

Any Indian can live anywhere in INDA.Only uneducated small minded folks can say otherwise. If ALL mumbaikers including your brain dead shiv sainakers and its leaders take an oath to never ever ever set foot outside of mumbai, can they have the right to even suggest somethin of the sort. They want to travel all over India and across the world like they own it but decide who lives in mum and who doesn’t. No wonder when such people die most INDIANS say GOOD RIDDANCE.

@ Revathi – how would you feel if we said that you tams can take your oily hair and your extra large grins and your ugly nose pins and get the fuck back to the south. we won’t as we’re bigger than you. in india we can live anywhere we want to. As for the thugs of delhi, people from delhi are so classy!
take your communal narrow mindset and keep it to yoyrself
